BitSprout account-holders automatically earn a guaranteed interest rate of 10% per annum on the total balance of their account, and up to a maximum of 16% per annum from our progressive interest rate accelerator.
Progressive Interest Payments.
Account balances are calculated on a daily basis (including weekends). The annual interest rate is conveniently divided and paid daily on your total account balance. Account-holders may add additional funds to their accounts at any time or subsequently withdraw all or part of their account balance at any time. However, BitSprout offers an interest accelerator component that pays a progressive interest rate increase to accounts that have no withdrawals for a period of 31 days or more.
How Progressive Interest Works.
When you make a deposit, you will automatically start earning a guaranteed 10% per annum on your total account balance which is compounded and paid daily. If you make no withdrawals for a period of 30 days your account automatically qualifies to participate in our progressive interest accelerator. This means your interest rate of 10% per annum will automatically increase by 1% to 11% per annum and effectively increase your daily interest payments from day 31 onwards. Your interest will automatically continue to increase by 1% every 30 days up to a maximum of 16% per annum after 180 days and beyond, or until you make a withdrawal from your account.
PROGRESSIVE INTEREST RATES
Guaranteed Interest – 10% p.a. with no withdrawals for 30 days. Interest rates automatically increase by 1% every 30 days if no withdrawals are made within the time frames outlined below.
|Interest Increase||No Withdrawals|
|10% p.a.||0 – 30 days|
|11% p.a.||31 – 60 days|
|12% p.a.||61 – 90 days|
|13% p.a.||91 – 120 days|
|14% p.a.||121 – 150 days|
|15% p.a.||151 – 180 days|
|16% p.a.||180 days plus|
Making a withdrawal at any time automatically resets the interest rate back to our default 10% per annum – Meaning after a withdrawal is made at any time the annual interest rate will automatically revert back to our standard 10% per annum and will start to increase again by 1% from day 31 onwards, and will continue to increase by 1% every 30 days up to a maximum of 16% per annum after 180 days and beyond, or until you make a further withdrawal.
